A safe and free upbringing – Naturist places are often peaceful, family-friendly, and less focused on material things than many mainstream destinations tend to be. To do this, we ask that you respect the nudity code and, at the same time, show understanding towards the young and those who may be apprehensive of discovering naturism.” This is something we truly value – respect for others’ boundaries and the freedom to choose or opt out of naturism. Naturism is an individual and personal choice. Benefits of going on a naturist holiday with children A naturist holiday can give children experiences and values they carry with them far into life. When the clothes come off, many of everyday expectations and norms often fall away too – creating space for a more relaxed and natural way of being together as a family. A natural relationship with the body When children are allowed to experience nudity, such as on a naturist holiday, they naturally and calmly learn that bodies come in all shapes and sizes – and that this is completely normal. Nothing needs to be hidden or perfect. Start at home – If your children are not used to nudity at home, try being naked in private surroundings, such as in the garden or at a quiet beach. We would recommend an even higher SPF for children, and make sure to reapply frequently. Water shoes – Many naturist beaches have rocks or stones. Sun hat and sunglasses – Especially important for younger children. Water and snacks – Naturist places are often located a bit off the beaten path, so bring provisions. Some clothes for the evenings – When the sun goes down, it can get chilly. Flip-flops or sandals – Very practical for the beach. The sand can become extremely hot in the sun, and the ground may be uneven. They are easy to slip on and off and protect little feet on the way to and from the water.
